Call for Participants: Fisher v. University of Texas and the Future of Affirmative Action – Amelia Island, FL

Southeastern Association of Law Schools

Professor Eang Ngov (Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law) is seeking participants to join a discussion group on Fisher v. University of Texas and the Future of Affirmative Action Aug. 3, 2016, 9 a.m. -12 p.m., at the Southeastern Association of Law Schools Conference.

The much anticipated 2013 decision in Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin over affirmative action in higher education admissions was anti-climactic, but Fisher II is expected to be impactful.  Regardless of whether the Court will make its decision before the conference convenes, participants will explore how the landscape for affirmative action might change and the new issues and challenges ahead for affirmative action.

Interested persons should contact Eang Ngov at ENgov[@]barry.edu.
