The Program on Law and Sustainability at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law is now accepting panel and presentation proposals for its second annual Sustainability Conference of American Legal Educators . The conference will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016, on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe, Arizona.

The Sustainability Conference of American Legal Educators is a large annual gathering of law professors who are researching in sustainability-related areas. The conference features presentations of legal academic research on subjects pertaining to environmental sustainability, including but not limited to topics in climate change law, environmental law, energy law, water law, natural resources law, land use and zoning law, agricultural and food law, and disaster law.

Groups of four are invited to submit panel proposals on sustainability-related legal topics. Freestanding presentation proposals from individuals are also welcome. There is no publication requirement in connection with the conference. This year’s featured lunchtime speaker will be Holly Doremus, the James H. House and Hiram H. Hurd Professor of Environmental Regulation at UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.
Those interested in participating should submit panel or presentation proposals through the conference website by no later than December 31, 2015.

Submissions must include:
A brief presentation abstract (not to exceed 300 words) and
A current CV for each panelist or presenter.
Panel proposals should include abstracts and CVs for each presenter and a description of the overarching panel topic.

Arizona State University will provide hotel lodging and an airfare stipend for all selected panelists and presenters. Selected presenters will be notified by January 30, 2016 and will receive instructions for making travel arrangements at that time.
