Stetson University Law hosts the 39th Annual National Conference on Law and Higher Education: Eve of Disruption. Courageously Meeting Higher Education’s Challenges in Times of Transition, February 1-5, 2018.
This year we will focus heavily on identifying and responding to the profusion of influences affecting American higher education today. The law and policy challenges for our institutions include preparing for and responding to protests and activism, “fake” news, hazing and sexual violence, criminal prosecutions, funding and enrollment challenges, student debt management, new federal and state legislation, free speech bills, and litigation and compliance mandates. Disruptive forces come from every direction these days, from across the political spectrum.
