How IP and Technology Influence Other Areas of Law – Chicago, IL

The Northwestern Journal of Technology & Intellectual Property (NJTIP) is hosting a symposium in conjunction with the Searle Center on Law, Regulation and Economic Growth at Northwestern Law School on February 23 (5:30-9 p.m.) and 24 (all day), 2012.

The theme for our 2012 Symposium is “Beyond IP: How Intellectual Property and Technology Influence Other Areas of Law.” The topics for our panels are: Climate Change and Clean Technology Incentivization; Technology and Government Surveillance in the Post-9/11 World; and Copyright and the Future of the Entertainment Industry. The Symposium will also include an opening address discussing the effects of the new America Invents Act, as well as a Keynote Luncheon discussing international compulsory licensing of pharmaceutical patents.
