Call for Papers Deadline: Modernity, Law and Literature

The 2010 Critical Legal Conference to be held in Utrecht, Netherlands on September 10-12, 2010 is accepting papers on the theme of “Great Expectations”: Multiple Modernities of Law. The panel invites perspectives and readings from those working in the field of law and culture, broadly conceived, who are interested in using the tropes of “law and literature” and “law as literature” to interrogate practices of legal critique. Summer Academy in Global Food Law & Policy - Como, Italy

The 2nd EFFL Summer Academy in Global Food Law & Policy will be held on July 26-30 2010, at Villa La Collina on the shores of the Lake Como. The academy will offer scientific reflection and discourse on key legal and policy issues in European and World food law as well as information and updates on the latest developments through a dynamic, informal and highly interactive five-day program, including lectures, presentations, discussion groups and social activities. The faculty of the academy consists of food experts coming from relevant authorities, European and US institutions, academia, legal practice and the industry. Call for Papers Deadline: Equality, Diversity, Inclusion - Vienna

May 1, 2010

Equality Diversity and Inclusion Conference 2010 will take place in Vienna July 14-16. This is the third annual EDI conference.

The conference has 15 streams. The call for papers gives information applicable to all. “The call for papers will open in the first week of January, and will close on 1 May, 2010. Final session lists for each stream are due on 15 June 2010.”

The legal stream, organized by Jackie Jones (Bristol Law School) and Todd Brower (Western State University College of Law) has its own call for papers.
