Call for Papers Deadline: Australasian Law Teachers - Lawyers in Times of Transition - Auckland, NZ

The University of Auckland Faculty of Law and the Department of Commercial Law is hosting the 2010 Australasian Law Teachers Association (ALTA) Conference July 4-7, 2010. The conference theme is: Power, Regulation and Responsibility: Lawyers in Times of Transition.

Keynote speakers at the plenary sessions will be Dame Sian Elias, Chief Justice of New Zealand, Professor Jeremy Waldron of the New York University School of Law, Stephen Gageler SC and David Collins QC, the respective Solicitors-General of Australia and New Zealand, Associate Professor Mary Keyes of Griffith Law School and Dr Robert Joseph of Waikato Law School. A strong interest group programme will also be at the heart of the conference. The venue will be the brilliant new Owen G Glenn Building of the Business School, with dinners at the University’s famous Fale Pasifika and the harbour front headquarters of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. We encourage you to come to New Zealand and attend the conference. Decide now that you will present a paper to one of the interest groups.
