Northern Illinois University announces their 17th Annual Law Review Symposium to be held April, 2008 at NIU in DeKalb, Illinois. The topic is “The Modern American Jury.” Sub-topics include the following: the history of the American jury, benefits and drawbacks of the jury system, jury selection, jury behavior and decision-making, the criminal jury, jury management in civil litigation, innovative techniques regarding the jury, jury nullification, civil jury awards, and comparative jury systems. The Law Review will publish papers from the symposium in its Vol. 28-3 issue of the Law Review, to be released in Summer 2008.
